When you browse BorderCityDeals we collect basic usage information (pages viewed, deals clicked) to show relevant local businesses and measure how deals perform. When you create an account, claim a business, submit a lead, or subscribe to deal alerts, we collect the information you provide directly, such as your name, email address and phone number.
We only send marketing emails to people who have subscribed through our newsletter signup, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every email includes an unsubscribe option, and unsubscribing is recorded immediately.
We do not sell personal information. We do not publish your private contact details as business data unless you submit them as part of a business listing you own or manage.
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms from abuse — these don't require consent and can't be turned off. With your consent, given via the cookie banner, we also set an analytics cookie to help us understand site usage. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your cookies, which will show the banner again. We keep a record of each consent choice (a random ID, your choice, a hashed IP address, and a timestamp — never your raw IP) so we can demonstrate compliance if asked.
